Thomas Skalmoski is a partner in our Milwaukee office. His practice includes commercial litigation, employment law and business law. His commercial litigation practice involves a wide variety of business disputes, including contract disputes, intellectual property infringement, unfair competition, insurance coverage disputes and disputes among owners of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Tom’s employment law practice involves counseling clients on employment practices and handling disputes in state and federal administrative agencies and courts. His business law practice is diverse and includes such areas as distributorship relationships, intellectual property protection, consumer product safety issues and a wide variety of state and federal statutory and regulatory compliance matters. Tom devotes a substantial portion of his practice to counseling clients on the use and enforcement of non-compete agreements and confidentiality agreements.
Representative Matters and Experience
- Representation of clients in commercial litigation, employment law and business law matters, including a wide variety of business disputes, counseling clients on employment practices and employment disputes, intellectual property protection, consumer product safety issues and the enforcement of non-compete agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Has given numerous presentations, including in-house presentations for clients, on non-compete agreements, confidentiality agreements, trade secrets, unfair competition and a wide variety of employment law topics.
- Has been an instructor in courses in commercial law and torts for the American Institute of Paralegal Studies.
- Was Comments Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal while in law school.
