Susan Marguet is a partner in our Delafield office where she practices in the areas of business, real estate, litigation and municipal law.

She has lectured for the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Corporate Practice Institute and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. Recent speech and article topics include an analysis of tax benefits of donating conservation easements, a discussion of the first-time home-buyer tax credit and examination of IRS guidelines relating to determining whether a worker is an independent contractor or employee.

  • Representation of clients in business, real estate, litigation and municipal law matters.
  • Has lectured for the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Corporate Practice Institute and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities.
  • Speaker at conferences and writer of articles on topics that include an analysis of the tax benefits of donating conservation easements, a discussion of the first-time home-buyer tax credit, and examination of IRS guidelines relating to determining whether a worker is an independent contractor or employee.
  • Former president of the Association for Women Lawyers and former chair of various committees for the Milwaukee Bar Association.
  • Served as a volunteer mediator for the Milwaukee Bar Association trial mediation program.
  • Has been honored by the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association/LAW Volunteer Lawyers Project with an Award for Outstanding Service by an individual.
  • Was the editor of the Indiana Law Journal while attending law school.
  • Serves as a board member for the Waukesha County Land Conservancy, the Kettle Moraine Food Pantry and the Kettle Moraine Garden Club.
  • Volunteers at the Lake Area Free Clinic.
