Milwaukee, WI – August 29, 2013 – Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP is pleased to welcome new associate, Jacqueline L. Messler. Her practice focuses on business law, estate planning, and tax law. Prior to joining the firm, Jacqueline clerked for Justice Ziegler at the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 2012-13. During law school, she was a law clerk for Schober Schober & Mitchell (May 2010 – May 2012) and interned at the IRS Chief Counsel’s Office in the summer of 2011.
Ms. Messler is a graduate of Marquette University (J.D., cum laude, 2012) and Carroll University (B.A, History; B.A., Political Science; magna cum laude, 2009). While at Marquette, she was an articles editor for the Marquette Law Review. Ms. Messler’s comment was published in the Marquette Law Review: THE INCONSISTENT INHERITANCE RIGHTS OF ADULT ADOPTEES AND A PROPOSAL FOR UNIFORMITY, 95 Marq. L. Rev. 1043. She was a student editor for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Quarterly. Additionally, she volunteered for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and also earned the CALI award (highest grade) in Taxation of Partnerships and S-Corporations; Taxation of Gifts, Trusts, and Estates; and Property.
Jacqueline is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and is a member of the Elder Law and Taxation Sections as well as the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
